GASTRONOMY
The ski resorts of the Alps win visitors over with delicious traditional dishes. However, the region also boasts a large number of Michelin-starred restaurants, including one-star Les Explorateurs, three-star Flocons de Sel, three-star Le 1947 and one-star Le Relais des Moines.
WHAT TO DO BEYOND THE SKIING
Val Thorens offers a series of attractions in addition to mountain sports. The village has dozens of boutiques, art galleries, decor stores and restaurants for all types of tastes. In addition, it is possible to practice cross-country skiing, paragliding, snowshoeing, zip lining, tubing, scenic helicopter flights, segway rides, snowmobile and snow bike, yoga classes, dog sled rides, hiking with snowshoes, paragliding flights, snowmobiling and even diving in Lac du Lou.
ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS
The highest ski resort in Europe - Val Thorens - also reserves a series of attractions for children. From the age of three, special and safe areas are available, such as Monsieur Piou Piou, which combines fun with learning to ski. Children between four and 12 years old can participate in group ski lessons and share unforgettable moments with their friends. After the adventures on the slopes, there are many activities besides skiing for the little ones, such as shopping, cinema, bowling, skating, playgrounds, sleigh rides, tobogganing, entertainment areas and snow parks.

NIGHT LIFE
Val Thorens has become one of the busiest and most festive seasons in the world. It all started with the inauguration of the club La Folie Douce de Val d'Isère, a terrace in the middle of the mountain that turns into a lively dance-floor from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. It also opens as a restaurant at lunchtime. When night falls, skiers tend to flock to the Frog and Roast Beef pub, which stays open until late.
