THINGS TO DO
More than just skiing and riding, Snowmass offers lift-served tubing carved into The Meadows and guided snowshoe tours alongside mountain streams, where you can learn about the area’s ecology. Every Friday night during peak winter season, Ullr Nights turns the mountain into a winter wonderland party in honor of the Norse God Ullr – celebrate with an evening gondola ride to Elk Camp for ice skating, s’mores by the bonfire and live music.

Snowmass’ incomparable program for kids means fun for the whole family: the Treehouse Kids' Adventure Center boasts age-appropriate themed rooms, while their acclaimed ski and snowboard school offers children two and a half years and older the chance to take their first run at the bunny slopes, practice their moves from last season, meet new friends and no matter what level they’re at, generate a lifelong love for the mountain.

From the base of the mountain to shops inside some of the hotels, to numerous sporting goods stores throughout the village, you’ll never be without the equipment, clothing and accessories you need. Adults rentals run the gamut from beginners to premium, with options from more “forgiving skis,” to stiffer, fat powder skis that will have you carving up the backside like nobody’s business.
