Steamboat

United States

Steamboat is one of Colorado’s oldest snow resorts, boasting 1,200 hectares of skiable area with pristine “champagne powder” snow and scenic trails winding through pine trees. The tranquil atmosphere, family-friendly entertainment options, and well-trained instructors catering to young ones make Steamboat an especially appealing destination for families. Nightlife is understated, often revolving around small craft breweries abundant in Colorado. A mere 10-minute drive from the mountain, Steamboat Springs is a friendly, unassuming town with around 12,000 residents. It preserves older shops and diners alongside a new wave of stylish restaurants emphasizing regional ingredients in their menus. The resort’s identity also carries a touch of the Old West, exemplified by the annual Cowboy Downhill, a lively skiing competition among cowboys.
