Tremblant

Canada

Mont-Tremblant has a rare and interesting combination of elements for the skier: although located at a low altitude, the station accumulates quality snow. This climatic advantage, combined with a modern system of artificial snow machines, results in extraordinary seasons, which run from November to mid-April. In all, there are four skiable mountain faces with 102 slopes well distributed among the difficulty levels. With its mix of exuberant nature complemented by technology, and infrastructure with 14 lifts of the highest standard, Mont-Tremblant is the largest ski resort in eastern Canada and the second most visited in the entire country – only behind Whistler.

This success is also thanks to the village at the base of the mountain. Inspired by Megève, France, it is small enough to walk around, but large enough to satisfy visitors. On a walk through the center, completely skiable and decorated with colorful buildings, you will find friendly shops, cafes and bistros, with a strong French influence is present in the local cuisine. At après-ski, the station’s programming caters to families, couples and groups of friends. An enchanting destination for skiers of all levels and profiles.

GASTRONOMY

In the village: Mont Tremblant cuisine offers a wide variety of options for everyone, from the French dishes of Choux Gras and La Quintessence, to the Swiss of La Savoie and the Italian of Coco Pazzo. It is impossible not to be delighted with the crepes at La Maison de La Crêpe, and the tasty pizzas at Pizzateria. On the Mountain: With a buffet of hot and cold dishes, Le Grand Manitou is the only restaurant on the mountain and simply has the best view in the region.

ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS

After a day of skiing, children can have fun with the tubing descents at the Activity Center or play on the slides and ball pools at the Magic Jungle, the largest indoor playground in the region. The cool activities that Mont-Tremblant puts together also appeal to kids, such as the Indoor Escape Game (participants have to solve riddles to get out of themed rooms), Laser Tag games (you’ll feel like you’re inside a video game), and virtual reality experiences at Virtual Reality Tremblant.

WHAT TO DO BEYOND THE SKIING

One of the differentials of Mont-Tremblant is the variety of activities to do besides skiing. To enjoy the snow and the winter landscape, there are dogsledding, fatbike, snowmobile and 4x4 rides, as well as climbing, skating, paintball and even ice fishing. When it comes to indoor activities, there is no shortage of options, including the classic Mont-Tremblant Casino and the complete Scandinave Spa.

SHOPPING

The resort is full of quaint shops, including colorful and tempting candy stores like Place Bonbon, Rocky Mountain Chocolate and Sugar Shack. In the village you can find all the snow gear you need: there are big brands like Burton, Columbia and Salomon.

NIGHT LIFE

Mont Tremblant is synonymous with lively nightlife, it has some famous addresses for partying. Le P’tit Caribou, for example, is considered one of the best après-ski bars in all of Canada. For a drink, the best place is the Fairmont Hotel's Axe Lounge Bar. The city's nightclub is Café D'Époque, where great DJs always get the party going.
