Among the majestic Elk Mountains, Aspen has the formula for the perfect ski trip! A place that sets trends and combines winter sports and activities with the best of gastronomy, art galleries, luxury boutiques, vibrant nightlife, and plenty of hospitality. However, what is known as Aspen is actually a group of four mountains with over 300 interconnected trails serviced by an efficient shuttle system, each with its own personality and unique highlights, consisting of Aspen Mountain, Snowmass, Highlands, and Buttermilk. In addition to skiing, enjoy après-ski, award-winning restaurants – including one with a Michelin star – shopping, sophisticated hotels, and plenty of attractions, whether it’s with a partner, friends, or the whole family!

GASTRONOMY

In the village, standout spots include Matsuhisa, Betula, Element 47, and the newest star in the region: Bosq, which focuses on fusion of international cuisine using local and seasonal ingredients. On the mountain, Sundeck at Aspen Mountain offers fast meals with a view. At the base, Ajax Tavern is the après-ski spot at The Little Nell. And since we're talking about Aspen, although not exactly located there, it's impossible not to mention the bustling après-ski scene at Cloud 9, located in Highlands.

WHAT TO DO BEYOND THE SKIING

From yoga at the mountaintop to activities such as ice skating, snowmobile tours, sleigh rides, rock climbing, tubing, and guided snowshoe hikes led by experts. In the city, there are performances at the Wheeler Opera House, contemporary exhibitions at the Aspen Art Museum, and the historic Isis Theater shows classic and new release films. For those seeking relaxation, the Remède Spa within the St. Regis hotel offers beautiful massage rooms, relaxation lounges, a heated pool, and a sauna.

SHOPPING

In addition to international brands such as Dior, Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, and Ralph Lauren, Aspen has local shops offering winter and ski gear, such as Gorsuch and Aspen Fur & Shearling, as well as clothing and accessories with a touch of the Old West, like Kemo Sabe, and designer boutiques like Maison Ullens. Not to mention the traditional ski clothing store, AspenX, which offers a limited edition line inspired by the energy and vibrant atmosphere of the season in partnership with Prada.

NIGHTLIFE

The happy hours, or après-ski, are famous in the region. At the base of Aspen Mountain, the Ajax Tavern is a classic, with lively afternoons filled with champagne and truffle french fries and the deck at Cloud 9 at the top of the Aspen Highlands mountain turns into a great party on sunny days. For a night out on the town, Escobar stays open until the late hours.
